Story
On Wednesday 17th November, our fantastic team of Runners will be taking part in this years Virtual Run in the Dark.
They will be running either 5K or 10K around the area surrounding the Battersea Phase 3 site. In addition to the entry donation to the Mark Pollock Trust, as funded by Sir Robert McAlpine, local charity, The Devas Club has been chosen by our team to support.
The Devas Club is a fantastic charity operating in our local Battersea area offering a range of activities that improve the lives of children and young people, building confidence, wellbeing and tackling mental health issues.
Provides after-school and weekend clubs for 8 – 19 year olds and support for young people with disabilities and special educational needs up to 25 years old.
We would like to ask that all Runners make a suggested donation of £20 to the Devas Club, however of course it is the taking part that counts and anything you can give would be very gratefully received.
We would like to raise as much for The Devas Club as we possibly can so if you are not running but would still like to support our marvellous team we are grateful for all donations.
Over the next couple of months, we will be working with Devas Club and Lucas to carry out some voluntary painting works in the centre, when we visited the centre we noticed that their roof-top Basketball court is in need of repairs so it has been suggested that our donations may help to make improvements here or provide funding in another area of the Club.
We really hope that you can support us on this and are very grateful for any donation that you can give.
Many thanks,
The Battersea Phase 3 Team
