Wateraid has helped 19.2 million people receive clean water and in provide huge boosts to the local communities of the poorest areas in the world. 748 million people across the world do not have access to safe drinking water. That is roughly one in ten. 2.5 billion Do not have access to safe sanitation, that’s one in three. 500,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. That’s 1,400 children every day.
