Story

As you all know my mum passed away before Christmas as a result of suffering from dementia for 7 years or so. As a result The Alzheimer’s Society have asked if I’d like to do the Bath Half Marathon in memory of mum and help raise some cash to support their good work.

The Alzheimer’s Society are there to help families with loved ones who are suffering as well as trying to find a cure for this wicked illness, see below. It’d be great if you could chuck in a couple of quid to help them.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.Thank you for choosing to run for Alzheimer's Society, together we can be help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.
