Our close friend Jackie Orme lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer in August last year. She fought this terrible disease for a year and if she couldn't beat it  then the chances at the moment of doing so are very slim. More research is needed for research into this chronically under-funded area and Jackie's husband, David has persuaded and coerced 200 people to enter the half marathon and 100 to enter the fun run in the hope of raising £50,000.

Suzanne and I have never run more than 5k in anger and the girls will be running the fun run. We are now less than a month away and have pushed the training to 6.5 miles (just about half distance) but we'll do it and we'd like your support for Jackie, David, Sophie and Jess.
