Story
Sometimes you are lucky enough to come into contact with inspirational people. People who have the power to change your life purely by being part of it. In my case, his name was Paul McAllister and he brought sunshine and laughter to my dull corporate existence. He had a zest for life, and it was infectious.
Last summer, Paul sadly passed away, but he will never be forgotten. He suffered from cystic fibrosis and so, even in his legacy, he is still inspiring me to do great things. This is my latest adventure and, given that I have only ever completed one 10k race, which involved being repeatedly stung in the head by Japanese hornets (I'm sure he's up there laughing!), it’s going to be at challenge.
I was a pretty good student back in the day, but in physical education it was always ‘A’ for effort ‘D’ for achievement….so at least you can be sure I’ll be enthusiastically crawling over the finishing line.
Any donations to this incredible cause will be hugely appreciated. Wish me luck!!
