Story
The past 18 moths has been difficult for theatre and has left us all feeling vulnerable at points... but for the people that Julian House support, this is nothing new.
Even before COVID-19, most of the people in their care felt vulnerable and isolated from society. Through 2020 and now into 2021, the pandemic put their lives in greater danger. For those without a home, sleeping on the streets, escaping domestic abuse and living with addiction and/or mental health issues, everyday has been one of struggle and worry.
As such, the need for the life-changing services that Julian House offers has dramatically increased, at a time when their income streams have been drastically reduced. The pandemic has meant the cancellation of most fundraising events and caused their charity shops and bike workshops to close time and again. This is vital voluntary income needed to fund their life-changing services.
This makes the crucial work that Julian House so much harder, and that is why Bath Drama is so proud to name Julian House as our 2021 charity partner, in the hopes that we can offer some help to make a difference!
