We fund research and provide support to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Story

Celina, my wife, went through breast cancer during lockdown in 2020. Thankfully, she's doing well. In the past I've raised money through runs for Cats Protection; this year a cancer charity seemed appropriate to say thanks for her recovery and the efforts of the NHS and other health professionals that helped her through a scary time.

I'd post a photo of my beautiful wife but she's a shy one. Shame.

I opened this page when I was training for the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I completed the course, slower than I'd hoped but OK considering training was interrupted by a dodgy ankle. Then I won a London Marathon ballot place, so I'll be back in the capital in October for another big run.

At the end of May, despite a severe lack of training thanks to the ankle, I completed the Edinburgh Marathon. It was tough. Hopefully I'll be a bit faster in London.

My page will stay open until the end of the year (by when I'll have also run the Yorkshire Marathon, two weeks after London) in the hope I can gather some bonus cash for Breast Cancer Now.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to my Landmarks fundraising. Every £ was appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
