Story
Four year old Pepsi is a lovely friendly boy, who came to us in October. We took him to the vets to be neutered, chipped and checked over, and he was found to have a very smelly ear! On further investigation a polyp was found in his ear canal. Polyps are benign growths that occur in the middle ear.
Diagnostic tests were performed to confirm that this was indeed a benign polyp and not any cancerous growth, which was great news for Pepsi. This week he has had a 'vertical ear ablation' to remove the lump and part of his ear canal. He is now back with his foster carer Lucy with an enormous cone on his head, and coping really well with his tablets, painkillers and cream. In a couple of weeks we're hoping he'll be ready to find his forever home.
The cost of Pepsi’s treatment wasn’t cheap, so we have set up this appeal to try to recoup some of the funds. Any money received over and above our target will go towards helping other cats that come into care at our branch.
