Story

Hannah and myself have decided to run (or in my case struggle, walk, sweat, probably get a massive stitch and blistered feet) the Leeds 10km in loving memory of Mary Moorhouse, our Granny who sadly passed away earlier this year.

Granny was a fantastic lady who is missed very much by her children, grandchildren and friends. She became ill during the summer of 2015, and as the condition of her illness deteriorated she was cared for to the end by the staff of the East Lancashire Hospice at Blackburn. The staff were very caring, making her comfortable and tending to her needs, still treating her with dignity. It made us feel a lot better knowing that Granny was receiving this treatment.

I later learned that the East Lancashire Hospice is public funded, which I found ridiculous because they are an amazing charity and without them many families would suffer a lot more greatly. So I decided to set myself a challenge to help raise awareness and money for the East Lancashire Hospice; 10km may not be a lot to some people but for someone who hasn't been physically fit in any form since my high school days this is a big deal to me. Hannah has also decided to run this with me, although I imagine she'll be dust in my path haha.

Any amount will be appreciated and I thank you in advance for helping this fantastic cause.
