Story

Updated on Oct 13th 2012 at 8:36 PM from the JustGiving API

Apologies for the late update. I am pleased to say that I competed the race in a steady 2hrs and 5mins and had a great day . Thank you so much for your wonderful generosity , it is truly appreciated by me , Sarah and Henry .For any runners out there who have not done the Royal Parks Half Marathon yet I thoroughly recommend it.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I have decided to run this half-marathon for 2 reasons:

Firstly my son has already won more medals than me this year and I wont  be outdone by a 20 month year old .

Secondly, I wanted to raise some much needed cash for Tommy's who are an amazing charity who fund research into premature birth (of particular interest to us since Henry was born at just 2lbs 15 oz and at 30 weeks  - no pressure) . They also fund research into miscarriage and still birth, and provide vital phone support to those affected by any of the above. This is obviously something that has touched our lives quite directly but it has probably touched yours or your loved ones in some way as well.

So help us raise some wonga for them or we'll set the boy on you as he's 10 times that birth weight now and learning to body slam as we speak.
.

Please give what you can spare as every little helps.

Thanks

Bart
