Story
I am taking part in this years Maldon Mud Race in memory of a long standing friend, Barry Saltmarsh.
Barry and I were friends for over 60 years, until his recent passing in February 2023 after suffering Crohn's disease for a number of years.
I know he was a good friend of many of you too and hope you'll be generous in supporting a charity that supported him and know it will also mean a great deal to his family too.
The money raised will go to the Crohns & Colitis UK charity and the Maldon Mud Race charities
An estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with this lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people suffer in silence. But they’re not alone. Crohn's and Colitis UK are working to improve diagnosis & treatment, to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
Please feel free to come and support me and my Mud Faced Mingers team on Sunday 14th May at the 2023 Maldon Mud Race, Promenade Park. Maldon. I know its a pretty gruelling, exhausting and smelly challenge so your support will be most welcome !
