I am carrying out a Raffle to raise money for AMMF, so every £5 donated gets you a ticket. The prizes are being added all the time, it currently stands at a Ipswich FC 2010/2011 replica kit top signed by the squad.
Please if you would like entry into the raffle ( Prizes will be added as we get them) please donate and leave me your email address and I will let you know your numbers. Draw will be done in September.
A big Thankyou to Carters Barber's in Bury St Edmunds For donating the Ipswich shirt for the Raffle.
The Challenge:
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, and we are doing this within 24 hours.
The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft). The total driving distance is 462 miles.
AMMF is the UK's only Cholangiocarcinoma Charity. This condition also known as bile duct cancer, is considered rare, worldwide it is the second most common primary liver cancer. It is difficult to diagnose accurately and early, so by the time of diagnosis it is often too advanced for surgery – which is currently the only potential cure. AMMF provides information and support to those who need it, campaigns to raise awareness of this devastating disease, and encourages and supports specialised research teams in their work towards better diagnostic techniques and treatments and, ultimately a cure. One of our colleagues sadly passed away in November 2022 after a short battle with this cancer. We wish to raise money support this charity that has given support to the family during this time.
Please be aware that some fundraising will go towards the cost of the trip to ensure we are able to take part.
