Story
On the 27th February 2020 I will be sleeping outside for just one night. It’s not brave, it’s not a hardship, its not for the laugh and it’s just one night. One night away from the love of my friends and family. One night where I won’t have the comfort of my bed, the warmth of central heating, or the shelter of a dry cosy house. Working in London you get used to seeing people, ordinary people, who for one reason or another, don’t have the choice to go home to a bed, a family, a loved one, somewhere warm and dry. Not through any fault of their own and certainly not because they have decided to be there. My night out is a tiny sacrifice designed to raise awareness, and hopefully some money to help provide food, comfort and maybe some small glimmer of hope to those who may otherwise feel that there is no way out. Your help is greatly appreciated x
PS My resolve to raise as much money as i can was boosted by a recent email from a work acquaintance. He told me about his younger brother who was homeless, became drug dependant, and without the support of charities such as this wouldn't be here today, wouldn't have his wife and two small children, and wouldn't be able to help others in his role managing a homeless charity. So yes these charities are real and yes they can make a difference. so please support if you can x
