Hi everyone after the dust has settled on the run and all the money has need collected I am delighted to say that I have managed to raise £2,150 for Cancer Research which is far in excess of what I had hoped. A huge thank you therefore to all who have sponsored me as this is very much appreciated and makes the effort all worthwhile. Baz x.

Hi there just a quick post to thank all of you who have posted donations thus far. You have all been so generous that you are forcing me to increase my target from £500 to £1,000 which is amazing so thanks again. Baz.

As some of you may know by the time this 10K comes round it will be just over a year since my Dad passed away having been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

Cancer is a disease that seems to touch everyone's lives at some point and having been affected by it first hand I want to be able to do something to help the fight against it.

On that basis I am going to run the Great Scottish Run10K on 4 September for Cancer Research and in his memory, I would welcome any donation to help me achieve my target of raising £500.

I know from experience that people may feel they are bombarded with requests such as these however any donation would be greatly appreciated.
