Story
My dad, was an amazing man
Married to Hazel he was devoted to her and loved every day they shared together, and adored each other. He was proud of me his son, and my sister Julie.
He was part of so many peoples lives, not just in his village but many many more. He had time for everyone, as a friend, a confidant, a helping hand, a listening ear, or sound advice, comforting words, and wise words. He did this 'all of the time'
Despite being quiet, shy & thoughtful, behind those twinkly blue eyes, and beaming smile, lay knowledge, understanding, beyond anything you would ever find written in a book, and he would share that with those he came into contact with, and he did so because he was passionate and kind, he did that 'all of the time'
He had many adventures and chuckled when he shared those with people, like sitting in the pilots chair in cockpit of a Jumbo Jet, the things that occurred when the river burst it's banks, tales of his fishing which he loved, and was so proud to have such strong connections with buildings in and around Tamworth, Wilnecote and Two Gates, and he was no stranger to modern technology, emails texts and pictures. He would love the fact that he has a space on the internet all about him.
I am raising money for this tremendous charity, following his accident, this team flew to the farm, cared for him, them flew him to hospital, and he said afterwards it was just brilliant, and loved every moment, despite the pain he was in.
But you see that's typical Barry, selfless, kind and appreciated everything and everybody ' all of the time' and what the Air Ambulance did for him, and without that airlift, things would have been very different. He was indebted to what they did. While visiting Dad, we all saw the helicopter landing or taking off on another mission, and helping save lives.
So you see, my Dad was amazing 'All the time'
