Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
On Jan 19th 2009 my eldest son Liam was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes. Several thousand blood tests from his fingers later and almost as many insulin injections by both pens and pumps, I figured it was time to give something back to Diabetes UK to help them eradicate this totally underestimated and life changing illness. As Liam (and his twin brother) likes nothing better than to strap himself into contraptions that will propel, drop, spin or catapult him at great speed and high G in the name of fun I figured I need to go one better. As someone who dislikes heights from which a fall will hurt yet is happy with heights from which a fall will kill, a sky dive seemed like a good way to celebrate my 50th Birthday. Doing this and raising money for Diabetes UK was my way of making sure I follow through and actually take the jump.
So please sponsor me, either through these pages or in person.
Thanks in advance. Barry
