Story

I am running the Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday 28th September 2014 in memory of Lauren Currie.

The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation was set up by Lauren's parents Adrienne and Grant after Lauren lost her life suddenly to Vasculitis at the age of 15 in October 2010.  They have dedicated their lives to fund awareness, education, research and patient support services & groups throughout the UK.

Lauren attended my wife, Susan's, school where her mum Adrienne still teaches.  You never think something like this would ever happen to a family you know.

As a father of three gorgeous girls I can't begin to understand what they have gone through and I hope that by running the marathon in Lauren's memory I can help them hopefully get a step closer to curing this horrible illness in the hope that no other parent has to endure losing their child, or husband or wife lose their partner or children lose their parents to Vasculitis.

Every penny counts to this very small, family run charity.  I know they appreciate every donation and I thank you most sincerely for anything you feel you can donate no matter how big or small.

Now all I have to do is run a marathon again!  Wish me luck!
