Story

Having been a supporter of Chickenshed for a number of years, I have decided to take the plunge and run the Asics Greater Manchester Marathon AND the Virgin London Marathon in 2 weeks in April to support what is an amazing organisation.

I ran my last marathon 8 years ago so having trained diligently for the last 14 months, I am hoping to not only break the elusive 4 hour mark but raise lots of much needed funds for this great local charity.

The Chicken Shed Theatre Company was founded in 1974 in a disused chicken shed in Cockfosters. The company produces theatrical and musical productions performed by children, teenagers and adults of all backgrounds and abilities.

I've seen at first hand the great work that Chickenshed do with disabled kids. They receive no public funding and rely 100% on donations.

Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated. Barclays have kindly agreed to match any donations made.

Thank you for your support
