The ride from John O'Groats to Lands End was planned  to be for 60 classic motorcycles and owners, with a service van following. plus transport to Wick.(v. near JO'G.) however ill health caused the run to be cancelled. It was a run that I wanted to do so I decided to make the classic trip from top to bottom of Britain solo! a journey on many peoples' must do list. Instead of being transported up there I decided to ride it. (transport and trains cost a small fortune). Plus I have the time. So..about 2000 miles in all. 

People have asked if i am fund raising so I decided only very recently to raise funds for a deserving charity and have selected Save the Children, the charity originally selected, as their work cuts straight to the most vulnerable in society, both here in the UK and across the world. 

I intend to do the ride at the end of September 2020 on a 1963 Triumph Tiger 90, which is a twin cylinder 350cc . Why? because a newish bike is not much of a challenge! and I am a member of the Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club as well as the Vintage Motorcycle Club.
