Story

I'm throwing myself out of a plane, and will apparently reach speeds of an adrenaline pumping 120mph while free-falling up to two miles! All to raise funds for the Somerset Wildlife Trust. Over half of UK species have declined since 1970, while more than one in ten are under serious threat and at risk of disappearing altogether. This is why I am raising funds to help change this. By sponsoring me, you'll help the Trust build on their huge conservation success stories in Somerset. Their Green Down Reserve (which my daughter Mia managed for a season) is now home to 36% of the UK population of Large Blue Butterflies, a species once extinct in Britain. Their wetland reserves are a stronghold for Bitterns in Somerset, and they have recently discovered that a pair of Night Herons roosting on their Westhay Moor National Nature Reserve have fledged two chicks - this is the first time in recorded history that a pair of Night Herons have bred in the UK! Thanks for your support!
