We provide skilled and compassionate care to people with a life-limiting illness.

Story

This is the 6th successive year I have run this event with the Pilgrims Hospices team. Even our children are getting involved each year now, with a children's 400 m fun run following the event. If you think that running 10km is hard, it is amazing to watch kids as young as 2 years old run a complete lap of a running track at sprint speed!

We are raising money for this great cause in memory of an old schoolfriend, James Orpin, but also in memory of the many other people we have known and loved that were cared for at the Pilgrims Hospices. My own special reason for running this event is in loving memory of my mum, who passed away in the Canterbury Hospice a few years ago.

I know it's difficult in these economic times to find extra cash, but I would be really grateful if you could find just a small amount to give in aid of this wonderful charity.

If I finish in under 40 minutes this year, maybe you could add just a little bit more? ;0) Many thanks for your support

Barry
