Story
On 1st April 2017, at the age of 19, I suffered a stroke. My ability to speak, memorise new information, and detect any form of sensation in my right side were all completely lost. I was in hospital for a long time, but now have finally returned to normal life, and have recovered roughly 90% of what I was like prior. Whilst I was massively unfortunate to have to deal with this at such a young age, I am greatly aware of just how lucky I am. I have seen other stroke sufferers whose lives (and the lives of their loved ones) have changed irreversibly forever; and some who lost their lives altogether.
Being a topic very close to my heart, I am very passionate about raising money for the Stroke association in the hope that one day, strokes never affect anyone again. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a naturally born long distance runner, but for this cause I am proud to say I will be running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon 2021.
Please donate whatever you can for this great cause, and just to say in advance, thank you so much for your support!
