Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was astonished that South Lakeland MIND had shut. Many people with mental health issues find refuge in peer support settings.
I am so relieved that the Lighthouse hub has opened. It is so sad that mental health issue are still so stigmatised.
 
I am fundraising for The Lighthouse so I can to give something back to those voluntary organisations who helped me get through some difficult times. The chilli eating contest is at Holker Hall as part of theirannual Chilli Festival 7-9 Septmber 2019. Entrants must sign a disclaimer to take part😵🌶️

About the charity

South Lakes based peer support drop-ins in a comfortable, homely space. Open to anyone wishing to maintain or improve their emotional and mental wellbeing. In the future we hope to be able to deliver a 1:1 befriending service out in the community for those unable to attend the drop-ins.
