Barker Storey Matthews is proud to announce that on the 26th of June 2015, 7 of our colleagues will be embarking on the National Three Peaks Challenge in order to fundraise for two incredible charities; Prostate Cancer UK and Sue Ryder' Thorpe Hall Hospice.
Our team participating consists of; Alan Matthews, Richard Jones, Ben Green, Martin Hughes, Simon Burton, Cameron Park & Sam White
Prostate Cancer UK have been investing millions of pounds into research, support services and awareness campaigns over the last decade, offering invaluable help to sufferers and their families in addition to funding 43 healthcare professionals operating within the NHS. Prostate Cancer UK also offer one to one, as well as group, support meetings and a variety of engagement events striving for greater awareness and accessibility to information about this alarmingly common disease. They have also launched two Centres of Excellence bringing together leading researchers to greater understand and ultimately to try and bring an end to people suffering from the disease.
It is anticipated that Prostate Cancer will become the second most common form of cancer within the next 10 years therefore the work currently being undertaken will be invaluable moving forwards.
