Story
We will be walking the Camino De Santiago, an ancient pilgrimage through France and Spain, which sees thousands of pilgrims and backpackers completing it each year; we shall be doing the same only without any shoes. Setting off from Pau we will cross the Pyrenees via St Jean Pied de Port heading through Basque Country, Castilla y Leon and Galicia; finally arriving in Santiago de Compostela. Travelling around 20 miles a day, this should all take about five weeks; from the 3rd of July until the 8th August.
All the money raised will go to Camkids, which was founded to help children in Cambodia who are either poor or whose parents are not there for them: orphans, street children, children living in poor rural areas and children affected by natural disasters, such as flood or famine. With over half the population of Cambodia under the age of 18 and having been crippled by decades of war, international embargoes, political instability and economic stagnation, the welfare of Cambodian children is in serious need of attention, with child abandonment and HIV/AIDs being at some of the highest levels in the world. As a result they are in desperate need of external funding.
Please give as much as you can.
Thank you for your support.
