Thanks for heading over to my just giving page
The three peaks challenge is an adventure many people know of, and it is a challenge many people have done. It consists of the three biggest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon). Over 3000 metres of ascent and 36km in total. In January this year, I decided to set my own challenge and at the same time support a profession I have been a part of for over a third of my life.
The National 3 peaks - Barefoot
After suffering teacher burn out in recent years, I know all too well of sinking into that dark place inside without knowing where to turn and where to get support. My mental and physical health began to suffer and everyday became darker and harder. I struggled in silence with stress, anxiety and depression.
It took a long time to come to terms with being able to voice this, but I hope it helps other teachers out there find strength to speak and raises awareness to where they can find support.
I dedicate my time now to help equip people with the skills needed to navigate uncertainty and step into a life of design rather than default.
Life is an adventure. We have become so accustomed to living life in the comfort zone that we forget nothing is certain and we must learn to take risks.
This challenge is not only about my own resilience but the resilience of the teachers on levels beyond the physical.
Thanks for taking the time to read and if you would like to support me then please donate.
