Story
Dear friends
How exciting!!! I'm going to run the London Marathon again! Even though I can't wait for the start, I'm quite glad to have a few months for training. Last year I realised how important and hard a marathon training is, but also how rewarding it is to cross the finish line after 26.2 miles. It is so addictive....
Having got back from climbing a 6000m-peak in Nepal end of 2007 (also addictive....), I feel strong enough to run the London marathon again and I obviuosly will do my best to keep in shape until the 13th of April. This year I would like to finish in about 4 hours....I know, maybe too ambitous!
This year I'm running for the RVC Animal Care Trust, a charity that raises funds for the College's hospitals, because animals matter: www.rvc.ac.uk/act (registered charity, no 281571)
Please dig deep and sponsor me online or cash, every single pound counts and I would like to reach my fundraising target of £1000 as soon as possible. This will allow me to concentrate on the actual running over the last few weeks before the marathon without worrying about fundraising during that crucial period of the training.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Animal Care Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
