Story
We are supporting Friends of Croydon University Hospital (Mayday) in memory of mum who sadly passed away early this morning in her sleep. Mum had a long illness following an emergency operation for a ruptured bowel and peritonitis, which was complicated by breathing difficulties, heart and kidney problems. She also suffered from breast cancer and had a mastectomy in January.
She spent a total of 5 months in intensive care, but sadly had a cardiac arrest two weeks ago and slipped into a coma from which she didn't recover.
Mum has always preferred that money go to good causes rather than be spent on flowers; 'The Friends' have supported us and many others at the hospital, and we feel she would be pleased if anyone thinking of sending flowers donated to the charity instead.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kindness and support over the last 5 months.

The Friends of Croydon University Hospital have published the following: 'We assist and care for patients in all parts of the hospital and would greatly value your support... We are most grateful for your kindness in thinking of us.'
