I chose to fundraise for this charity as my Grandpa sufffered from Parkinsons for the last few years of his life. While I was growing up he was a very strong and active man, and to see this debilitating disease take control of his body was extremely difficult. I can only imagine how it must have felt to him, but he kept his sense of humour and his sweet tooth to the end. Anything that can be done to reduce the effects of this illness and give a better quality of life to sufferers can only be a good thing for them and their families.
