Don't KNOCK it WALK it · 24 August 2020

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The NSPCC is the leading children’s charity fighting to protect children, prevent abuse and make child abuse a thing of the past.  The NSPCC is here for children who need them – and they are needed now, more than ever.

I'm going to climb Knock Hill in Largs (268/879ft) 100 x in 100 days from 24.08.20 - 01.12.20, to raise funds for the NSPCC.

My eight year old son Adam is going to climb 50 x with me to raise awareness among children that there is always someone they can speak to about any worries or concerns they have by calling Childline on 08001111, because sadly,  home isn't a safe place for every child.

Just £12 could pay for one of our trained volunteer counsellors to answer three children asking for  Childline's help, £27 could pay a Childline Supervisor, supporting our volunteer counsellors to be be there for children when they need them most. A generous donation of £62 could pay for headset equipment allowing our Childline staff to work remotely during this challenging time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
