Thames Path Challenge 2016 · 10 September 2016 to 11 September 2016 ·
As I reached my 75th birthday in July, I felt I needed a challenge in my life, and decided to push myself to do something I have never done before. So on September 10th I am joining some lovely people from my Slimfit Wokingham group to take on the Thames Towpath Challenge which is a 50km walk from Runnymede to Henley, where we are all supporting our own individual charities.
My chosen charity is the Alzheimer's Society as my lovely sister was diagnosed with this cruel disease last year and it is upsetting to watch her as she struggles with the confusion and becomes more withdrawn. So I would like to raise as much as I possibly can to go towards research and understanding of this awful disease, that affects so many people. Please, please sponsor me by sending a small donation to this very worthy cause. No matter how small, your donation will make a difference.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this page and for any donations. It really means a lot to me.
By the way, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. And if you are a UK taxpayer, don't forget to tick the 'gift aid' box as this means the charity receives a further sum which doesn't affect you in any way.
