Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 21st of May 2011, I will be taking part in the Super Heroes nightwalk to raise money for CHASE childrens' hospice. My good friend Sarah Elford will also be walking with me. We will be setting off at midnight on a ten mile walk around Guildford. My seven year old daughter Alice has a life limiting illness called Niemann-Pick disease type C. CHASE is a wonderful organisation which cares for children and the families of children who are not expected to reach their nineteenth birthday. They provide support and care in many different ways. The wonderful staff there provide respite for us, caring for Alice alone, or short breaks for the whole family. They work with Alices' sister Ellen and provide support and days out for her with opportunities to meet other siblings. There is also a community team who can care for both Alice and Ellen at home if we so wish. Through CHASE Alice is able to access activities and experiences which are now becoming more difficult for her in the 'real' world as her disease progresses. It is an extremely happy and positve place to be. CHASE relies heavily on donations to keep its vital services running. Anything you are able to donate is greatly appreciated.
