Why am I fundraising for 'Young Lives vs Cancer' / Player vs Cancer?

When my son Finley was 8 months old he was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and had a gruelling full year of chemotherapy.

Throughout that period myself and his mam had to visit the hospital on many occasions, spending lots of money when in long stays at the hospital especially during his operation.

Young Lives vs Cancer (Clic Sargent) really helped us through that period providing a lot of support which was much needed.

This is another way for me to give back and help others families going through what we did.

So please show your support and come have fun with me by doing that at my expense! :P

How your support helps:

- £10 could pay towards our social care teams giving families the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.
"The team were amazing for us with support all round throughout Finley's diagnosis, operation and treatment phases" - Steven

- £38 could pay for a family to stay overnight in a Home from Home, providing free, comfortable accommodation close to treatment centres.
"This home from home proved valuable during the operation period and staying more local overnight" - Steven

- £100 could fund a financial grant to help families facing money worries can pay for basics like food and petrol to get to and from treatment.
"We received some funds to help stay in a local hotel, pay for our daily food and baby necessities. Hospital stays get really expensive." - Steven
