For the first time ever, our food bank network gave out more food than was donated last year. And this year, food banks are having to top up their donations by buying food on a scale we’ve never seen before.

Over recent months we’ve seen a 30% increase in need at food banks since this time last year and are very concerned things are going to become increasingly difficult.  

Over the coming months, we expect hundreds of thousands of people to be forced to use a food bank (over 600,000) as they simply cannot keep up with the accelerating costs of essentials ,with thousands needing emergency support for the first time.
