Story

THEY LEFT ENGLAND ON 7th JANUARY!!!!    AND NOW THEY'RE HOME!

 The 'Welcome Home' party was held on on Friday 5th February and together we raised a further £1726 making £3046 for Reach www.reach.org.uk

BUT it's not too late to donate! So if you feel inspired by the endeavors and antics of Chadders, Biff & Sumo who had an eventful and somewhat exhausting trip to North Africa (in an old Mondeo) please click on 'donate'. If you don't want to use 'Just Giving' please contact me and I'll give you a gift aid certificate to fill in.

Here's an extract from The final leg of the trip;

'On Friday 15th January, Geoff sent a text from Khenifra which he described as ‘somewhere in the Atlas mountains’. They had just visited ‘The Children of Hope’ Orphanage and delivered our gifts of baby clothes and donations. The people who ran the orphanage were really pleased with the gifts.  It also gave the boys new purpose to their road trip, especially after the Banjul leg was cancelled.

On the way back from the orphanage Biff was stopped by the police for ‘speeding’ which is a laugh, as Biff drives so slowly in the UK, that he gets overtaken by old people on their electric scooters (who beep as they go past) and mums pushing double buggies. Luckily Sumo was able to apply all his training and he cleverly worked out that it was a scam with the Moroccan police just wanting a 'bung'.

Rather bravely they stood their ground and refused to pay but then worried that their names would appear on a list called ‘Morocco’s most wanted’ and that they wouldn't be allowed to board the ferry back to Gibraltar.' Luckily they made it back to Spain and are now planning their next adventure............

Thank you so much for supporting Chadders, Biff and Sumo in their fundraising for Reach.

The money they have raised goes towards providing confidence building and often life changing activities for children with a range of upper limb deficiencies - giving kids a chance to socialise with others kids in similar circumstances.  You couldn’t put a price on the benefits gained by kids who attend these activities.  As well as tackling abseiling, canoeing and many other activities to help them realise just how much they can achieve despite their 'difference'.

Reach appeals to all two handed/armed people to pause to consider the effect on a child or young adult with one or no hands in a two handed society because without funding – these kids are ‘out of Reach’

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT. You have helped more than you can imagine.
