Event: Brindleyplace Family Festival 2019, on 15 June 2019
On Saturday June 15th 2019, businesses across the West Midlands will battle it out on the canals of Brindleyplace in traditional Chinese Dragon Boats to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia.

Story

The Brindleyplace Family Festival 2019, sponsored by Deutsche Bank will once again be in support of Cure Leukaemia for the 5th consecutive year. Businesses from across the West Midlands will race traditional Chinese Dragon Boats on the canals in Brindleyplace to see who will be crowned champions of 2019. A fantastic day out for all the family, all funds raised by the teams that take part will go to Cure Leukaemia to fund vital specialist research nurses across the country. Without these nurses, blood cancer patients, that have exhausted standard treatments for the disease, would miss out on accessing pioneering and potentially life-saving drug and transplant therapies. Not only will these funds directly help save lives, they will also hasten global progress towards eradicating all forms of blood cancer within 25 years.
