One of our walking group fell onto steep scree whilst descending from the summit of Moughton and incurred serious injuries to his head, neck and arms. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) and Clapham  CRO responded to our emergency calls and the CRO team stretchered our friend 500ft down the fell to the waiting helicopter. Their speedy response and close collaboration with YAA ensured our friend was being treated in Leeds General Infirmary within 90 minutes of his accident. Thanks to their professionalism and that of the other rescue services involved our friend has now fully recovered from his injuries and is back in full fettle on the hills again. Without them the outcome would have been very different.
