Story
Our friends at Bank of Scotland invited us to take part in this year’s Great Scottish Run on behalf of the Bank’s charity partner, Mental Health UK.
How could we refuse?!
So four “athletic” BAMs – Dougie, Gerry, Paul and Michelle – will don the bright green and orange BAM colours on 30 September and put their best foot forward in the 10K for Mental Health UK.
Mental Health UK works across the country to improve the lives
of people with mental illness, and to support carers. Living with a mental health condition can affect many aspects of daily life, from your physical health to your home, your work and managing money. By supporting Mental Health UK we can help change this. BAM also believes it is important to raise awareness of mental health issues and encourage people to talk openly and has introduced Healthy Mind Ambassadors across the business to initiate more discussion.
Mental health issues will affect one in four of us at some point in our lives. If not directly affected you are likely to know a family member or a friend who is or has been and so we hope you will be able to offer a little bit of support to help us achieve our fund raising target of £1,000 for Mental Health UK.
Many thanks from the BAMs.
