I am a Consultant Surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust and a singer-songwriter. I penned this on Easter weekend as a response to the critical illness of friends and colleagues in the line of duty. I acknowledge that this song and its accompanying video will not cheer you up. Rather, I hope it serves to acknowledge the bravery of staff in the NHS and many other services who are working despite the risk to their health, and for which some have made the ultimate sacrifice. I hope that all funds raised will go toward families of those affected by loss during the pandemic.
