Story
Man vs mountain.
Thanks for visiting my just giving page!
Lets just say I have jumped out of my comfort zone with this one. Most of you will know that I do my fair share of mileage on the roads. However you will rarely find me running the trail runs and even more rarely will you see me attempting to run up a mountain :)
It's fair to say as a family for couple of reasons it's been a pretty pants 2017. One thing events of 2017 have led me to recognise is that you should appreciate everything! I count myself as very lucky in life as Im fit and healthy with a great family! When I saw this challenge for some reason I thought why not. After all the daddy belly might start catching up with me soon and you really don't know what is round the corner.
Even if you can't spare a donation half of the reason I'm me doing this is to encourage people to step outside your comfort zone and have a go! After all none of us know what is around the corner!
Ok so the abit about the race.
WILL I CONQUER SNOWDON?
This legendary mountain adventure race starts at sea level in the stunning Caernarfon Castle and weaves its way to the summit of Snowdon and down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry where we’ve thrown in an array of punishing obstacles, including the infamous Vertical Kilometre, for you to tackle before you can cross the finishline victorious.
22 miles - 5000ft
Average finish time - 6 hours
Now the important part. I'm am again raising money for the pilgrims hospice. Why? Because they are brilliant.
Pilgrims Hospices has been providing end of life care and support for patients with a range of life-limiting illnesses and their families across east Kent for more than 30 years.
A huge thank you to Sandersons in Canterbury and the local in Chatham
for their support in making this challenge achievable. It's always amazing to see the support from local companies when it comes to charities and I can't thank them enough for their support.
