We care for veterans across Scotland to ensure the best possible quality of life

Story

Each year graduates from BAE Systems Naval Ships (North) organise and run the Schools Engineering Challenge. A 12 week project where graduate engineers and apprentices go into local secondary schools to introduce basic engineering principles and raise awareness of engineering careers. Over the course of the 12 weeks the children will design, build and test their own model boats. At the end of the event the boats will be tested to their limits with an award ceremony taking place at the Riverside museum where the winning design will on display.

In addition to going into schools the graduates and apprentices take it upon themselves to select a charity to raise money for. This year the team are proud to be supporting Erskine Hospital who have been caring for veterans since 1916. The team will be collecting across BAE Naval Ships sites in Glasgow and Rosyth.

From the team at BAE Systems Naval Ships we would like to thank you for your kind support.
