Story
So why are the the three of us putting ourselves up to this challenge?!
Back in 2012, I (Sophie) received the heart breaking news that my Daddy had just days to live. Life as we knew it changed from that day.
Being the person my dad is, he decided that this prognosis wasn't the one for him and with true grit and determination he has fought his battle face on! But of course, our journey has NOT been plain sailing.
As a family, we have been supported immensely by the hard working staff at Isabel Hospice, who work tirelessly to help people in similar situations to ours.
We have also been extremely lucky to have the unconditional and incredible support from our fantastic friends. Eleanor (my crazy challenge buddy) and her family have been there and supported us through our journey right from the start and Eleanor has made the brave decision to join us on our big adventure (WOOHOO!!!)
I have also been very lucky to have my home team ‘Team Bacon’ (Mum, Dad, Brother Sam, his Fiancé Liv and my other/better half George).
So, the three of us (myself, Eleanor and George) have decided it’s time to give something back to a deserving charity! We decided to sign up to take part in the Canadian Rockie Challenge and we will be making efforts over this year to raise some vital funds for this fantastic charity.
ALL support, as always, will be gratefully received!!
THANK YOU
TEAM BACON SOPH, EL & G XXX
