Story

Team Back on Your Bike - Angie Wicks , Claire Bourne, Mike Harper , Liam Wicks , Sylvia Holman, and Lee Gilson.

As part of t he Active Care Group is supporting Back Up Trust, by participating in their #Nolimits cycle ride on 5th September, to coincide with  World Spinal Cord Injury Day.

Back Up Trust provide practical training on wheelchair skills and getting around the
community, as well as emotional support and mentoring, community forums and activity courses, such as skiing trips.

The challenge is for people to complete a remote/actual cycle ride of 50km or 100km,
either individually or collectively as a group relay, all contributing to the
same challenge.

The Back on Your Bike  team are aiming to raise a minimum of £300 by cycling a minimum of  50 km’s  Sylvia will be pushing 5 km in her wheelchair as she does not have a hand bike.

This charity is close to the heart of the Active Care Group and in particular both Angie and Sylvia have been long standing supporters of Back Up for many years , participating in courses and fundraising events.

The ride for Danny is particularly special as Angie knew Danny well and participated in Back Up courses and events with him over the years
