Story
Many people know me as the running and fitness coach at Back on Track, Guildford, Surrey. However, did you know that I have never taken part in a Marathon?
On 2nd October 2022, being 46 years old, The London Marathon will be my first.
I don’t know what to expect, how hard the training and race will
be or what obstacles I will have to overcome in the next few months.
But I know if I commit to this I want to run with a purpose.
I wish to dedicate this run to the David Shepherd Wildlife
foundation.
As an earth-loving person, with a particular fondness for
trees and wildlife, every mile will be dedicated to the wonderful team of DSWF.
The protection of nature and wildlife feels like a deep personal
calling to me. As the DSWF offer natural climate solutions, protection of wildlife and their habitats, such as forests, wetlands and grasslands, this charity seems like the perfect fit.
DSWF need yours and my support to continue the great work in protecting endangered species, fighting wildlife crimes and educate communities.
If I can run, I RUN.
If you can give, PLEASE GIVE.
Thank you.
David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) works
tirelessly to fund ground-based conservation partners across Africa and Asia who work to protect endangered species and their habitats. Through dedication and hard work, they have influenced policy, shifted attitudes and provided an unwavering voice for wildlife conservation, from grassroots to the world stage since 1984.
