Story
Update 2021:
This year I’ll be completing all the actual events! 🤞and throwing in an extra mile (or 2!) for turning a year older!
I’m also running a virtual run from Lands End to John O’Groats...874 miles in total! I started in September and plan to be finished by the end of May! 874 miles in 9 months!
I’m just going to keep on running in memory of Hamish and all the other babies that are missed.
January 2020:
So I turned 45 (I know, shocking 😂!) and decided to set myself the challenge of 45 miles of events in 2020! 3 half marathons and a 10k.
I will run the London Landmarks on Sunday 29th March, Hackney Half on Sunday 17th May and The Bristol Half on Sunday 27th September!
I will also run the Crouch End 10k on Sunday 3rd May, this will be Hamish’s 8th birthday. Running on this day will be emotional but part of the challenge this year.
To get me motivated for my 45 mile challenge I will raise money in memory of Hamish for Abigail’s Footsteps.
Abigail’s Footsteps will help ensure that hospitals have the best training and more cold colds in place. Each cold cot can cost up to £3000. It is a special refrigerated unit that allows parents to spend more time creating memories with their babies before saying goodbye.
Hamish was born at 41 weeks plus 4 days and was perfect. We only found out his heart had stopped during labour. When he was born we didn’t have a cold cot. We had to keep giving him back and time was short. We have now funded 7 cold cots with the help of family and friends and we want to fund more.
Any amount you can donate will be appreciated.
With so much thanks
