Story
Alder Hey Children’s Charity raises vital funds to help make Alder Hey Children’s Hospital a truly world-class patient friendly hospital for the 275,000 children and families that it cares for each and every year. Since April 2013, over £43m has been raised for a range of life-saving equipment and facilities which are making a “real” difference to our families every day!
The charity helps to fund a wide range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of or amazing young patients. This includes specialist surgical equipment which ensure our surgeons have the cutting edge technology available, hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients making their experience here far better. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists that we have on every ward- the support of the charity is endless…….but there is still work to be done and we need your help
On Friday 5th July, 8 members of our team will be stepping out of our comfort zone and embarking on a 19 mile walk from our Warrington branch to Alder Hey Children's Hospital!
We anticipate it will take us 6 hours to reach the hospital, where we will be greeted by staff members and patients and present them with the money we have raised for this amazing charity!
We are kindly asking for donations, no matter how small, to contribute to helping the Children of Alder hey hospital. As amateur hikers, we need all the encouragement we can get!
Here are all the members of the team that are helping to raise money for this great cause:
Nicole Mannion, Kate McKeown, Jessica Carmelino, Rachel Shepherd, Thomas Marchant, Stephanie Williams, Nichola Dace & Emma Bache .
Thank you so much on behalf of ourselves and all the children's lives you will be impacting.
