I hope I'll never need a hospice but people who I've loved dearly have ended their days there. I've always found the staff amazing and their compassion, kindness and care very moving in what must be a challenging environment. So it makes it even more surprising when you find out that Hospices have to fund 90% of their running costs thru charitable events. This is why I'm going to slog around a 13 mile course and do my first half marathon. If you've ever had dealings with a hospice maybe you could spare a couple of quid to sponsor me & we can all help keep these vital end of life hubs like the Thames Hospice.  going Thank you :) x
