I did my first triathlon before the arrival of our first child  Louis in May of 2015. Since then I have competed in multiple other olympic distance triathlon races.  And now, with the arrival of baby number two in August 2017, it is only fair to step it up to  the next level and into the long distance range, the Ironman 70.3. I guess a mid life crisis. I hope we stop at two babies, because the next step is the full Ironman at a short distance of 140 miles!!

My raceRace details:

Date: June 25 2017

Location: Steamboat, CO. Altitude 7000 Feet.

Race time: Approximately 5-6 hours.

The race constitutes of three consecutive legs:

1.2 mile open water swim (lake)

56 mile road bike

13.1 mile run

Training: 20 weeks (started mid-Feb), 12-15 hours per week. 2 more months to go.

So please share some of your wine/beer/cocktail money to help those in  need of the most bare minimum necessities of life and to make my many hours of early morning training more meaningful!
