Wow, I cannot believe it. I am finally going to get the opportunity to Run the LONDON MARATHON. Having run 7 marathons in the past, London was one of the big ones I have been trying to complete, as I believe there will be no better accomplishment as a runner than running in your home town where friends, family and the community can support you. However, I have never been able to secure a ballot place or find a charity worthy enough to run for.  Being someone that has been working in the caring profession for the past 20 years my personal ethos is supporting others who are less able. I believe that a community can only be judged by the way it supports the less able and less privileged; for those reasons, I believe that it would be a pleasure and honour to be part of the Certitude team.  Certitude is an organisation that works with adults with learning disabilities to develop new skills, meet new people, and live the life they want. Just like me, they believe in people and their capabilities; everyone has skills, strengths and something to offer and with the right support, they can progress in life.

Therefore, please support me in supporting Certitude in continuing their great work in the community to ensure that people with Learning disabilities and mental health can meet their full potential.  

Certitude helps people with mental health needs and learning disabilities in London to live their life, one of choice and control, connected to their communities through their talents, not their diagnosis.
