Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Stephen & Aysha are riding in the London - Surrey 100 mile cycle ride for Bone Cancer Research Trust. They are supporting BCRT raise funds to continue their dedicated work in supporting people with primary bone cancer through research, awareness and support.
As some of you may remember Aysha did a triathlon 4 years ago for Nicola to raise funds for a prosthetic leg after she had her leg amputated due to osteosarcoma. Since the age of 15 years old Nicola has fought and battled with courage and determination her cancer and has undergone gruelling cycles of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, operation after operation. 4 years after taking the massive decision to loose her leg the cancer has yet again returned but this time in her lungs. She is yet again battling the evil big C and is undergoing further chemotherapy in Felindre hospital.
Nicola is a rare case and despite advances in medicine, doctors are still unable to predict how this cancer will behave due to it being a bone cancer in another host. Therefore more research is desperately needed for people like Nicola.
The Bone Cancer Research Trust is the charity that offers hope to people affected by primary bone cancer.
They are dedicated to fighting primary bone cancer and are uniquely placed to make a difference through research. Their ambition is for a future where primary bone cancer is cured.
For those affected by the disease right now, their top-quality information and supportive network means no-one should have to feel alone or isolated.
Please help us make a difference by supporting their mission and fundraising to keep the search for a cure going. Any sponsorship will be gratefully received no matter how small.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
